For All We Call Mizzou is the $1 billion comprehensive campaign that is working to make our great University even better! The campaign will reap enormous benefits for students, faculty, programs and facilities today ¿ and ensure that all we call Mizzou will thrive for generations to come.
Over the past few years, development officers and volunteers, representing every school and college on campus, have been tirelessly traversing the nation to meet with alumni, friends, corporations, foundations, and organizations. In the process, they have engaged the interest and financial support of those who recognize the value of MU education, research, outreach, and economic development.
No one knows Mizzou's strengths — and needs — better than you, the faculty, staff and retirees of this 167-year-old proud flagship university.
By participating in this campaign and by supporting areas we care about most ¿ whether it's student scholarships, faculty and staff development, library collections or research — we demonstrate to others that we value this institution not just as an employer, but as an important contributor to society.
University faculty, staff and retirees give to Mizzou in a variety of ways for reasons that are important to them. Every gift — regardless of size — makes a difference to the University.
As with universities across the nation, the funds that have traditionally supported higher education have been drastically reduced. In fact, today, state appropriations provide only one-fifth of Mizzou's total budget; student fees contribute about 15 percent. Private gifts must make up the difference if MU is to continue its tradition of excellence in teaching, research and service.
The campaign has been designed to support the University's most urgent and essential priorities as determined through a strategic planning process involving students, faculty, staff and consultants. When combined with current resources, gifts to the campaign will encourage additional private giving and provide even greater benefits for those we serve.
Every gift, like every person, is important. You decide what to support.
MU faculty, staff and retirees define Mizzou pride in thousands of different ways-and there are just as many ways to donate. Your gift can be designated to any University of Missouri-Columbia school, college, program, or project you desire.
No administrative costs are deducted from your gift, so you can be sure that 100% of every dollar you contribute goes to support the area of your choice.
An endowment is a permanent fund that the University invests. Some investment income benefits the program you designate, and some returns to the fund. This ensures that your endowment's value keeps pace with inflation. A donor who gives an endowment knows that decades from now his or her gift will provide the same benefits it does today. (Minimum $10,000 required to establish an endowment).
